Stay Snug this Winter

Snug Shared Living

We are officially in the Countdown to Christmas! Autumn has so quickly become Winter and don’t we know it! BRRRRRRRRR

We know that every person runs at a different temperature and some people still sleep with windows open, others with heating on full blast so here are some tips for staying warm this Winter:

  • Flask with hot drinks – warm up from the inside out, a flask will help to keep your hot drink warm for longer and if you get a big enough one it will last you the whole day!

  • Get your Soup on – a hot, warming meal and you can use up all those random vegetables and left overs to keep you warm. Better than a tin of soup and you can freeze the extra. Don’t forget the fresh baguette for dipping in – dribble!

  • Layer Up – clothes, clothes, clothes – why not add a layer, whether it’s your favourite Christmas Jumper, Frozen Onesie or your super fluffy socks, adding a layer will keep any chill away.

  • It’s all about the TOGS – make sure to have a winter duvet to snuggle under - the Summer tog duvets just won’t cut it so you will be a lot warmer with a greater tog. Or throw on a blanket to keep warm at night.

  • Natural Warmth – the Winter sun can add so much warmth to your room so open those curtains and blinds, let the natural light in and soak up the warmth (can even close your eyes and pretend to be in Australia)

We asked the team what they would recommend:

Rebecca – well known for her love of Hot Water Bottles would recommend investing in one or two or three!

Laura – Fluffy Socks – the fluffier the better, you will be the envy of all your housemates.

Claire – Dressing Gown – they even have pockets if you are lucky to carry around essential snacks!

Lauren – Teddy Fleece duvet cover with your winter duvet will work a treat.
