Who is Snug Shared Living?


Snug Shared Living was formed in 2015 by a group of friends all living locally in Reading. We own all our homes, we manage and maintain them and we care about them. We don't use agents and we hand pick housemates to be part of SNUG’s friendly, sociable and respectful community. We’re a team of friends and colleagues with shared values. We offer hassle free, high quality, value for money accommodation in Reading. Rent with SNUG and enjoy original, modern living from landlords (us!) who work hard to keep you happy. If you’re happy, we’re happy, stands to reason, right?




How do I view a Snug home?

What fees do you charge?


In short, we don't! There are no charges at all for moving in or out, and if you leave your room in the same condition as it was when you moved in (barring fair wear & tear) then there's nothing to worry about.




Where are your houses located?


We've got most of Reading covered from Caversham to Shinfield, Woodley to Tilehurst! Check out the map on our home page.




What paperwork do I need to provide before moving in?


We'll need some basic information, references and photo ID to complete our tenanting process.




Do the rooms come furnished? If so, what’s included?


All our rooms include a bed (double in most rooms), wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table – some have a desk and chair, most have extra storage (because we know you have a lot of stuff).




Are utilities included?


Yes! All utilities are included - Heating, Electricity, Council Tax and Broadband. We also arrange for a cleaner to come in for weekly cleans and a gardener to look after the lawn and flower beds.




Are white goods provided in the house?


Yes, we provide top-quality white goods in all our homes.




What are the types of social events you run?


We love running events for our Snug sharers. These include Escape Rooms, treasure hunts around the city, BBQ’s, networking meet-ups and bar crawls. We have housemates that are passionate and interested in many different things so work hard to come up with an interesting and varied events programme throughout the year. Some housemates have started book clubs which is pretty cool. Let us know what kind of events you’re interested in.

As well as a great home and quality service, you will also benefit from added extras that come with being a Snug tenant which includes free broadband, weekly house cleans, regular maintenance checks on fixtures and fittings, and our own in-house Repairs Team to deal with any maintenance and repairs issues.
